FULTON – G. Ray Bodley High School senior Keegan Wallace’s commitment to music and the arts has earned him a $1,000 the Oswego County Music Educators’ Association Scholarship.

Wallace placed first in the recent competition among 15 senior high school students from several school districts throughout the county.
The Fulton City School District student performed “Debussy Premiere Rhapsodie” with his clarinet in front of a panel of judges before he was recognized for his stellar showing.
He and the 14 other competitors were required to be members of All-County Ensembles for at least two years.
Wallace said he has participated in All-County all four years of high school.
He has enjoyed playing the clarinet in GRB’s band, under the direction of music teacher Terry Caviness, and his love of music will continue after graduation in June.
All OCMEA Scholarship competitors also received a recording of their performance.
