FULTON – About 20 G. Ray Bodley High School students will receive college credit before graduation, thanks to the PELL Experiment through Cayuga Community College’s Fulton campus.

The program began in the fall of 2016 when the U.S. Department of Education aimed to improve college graduation rates.
It also allows participating GRB students to access federal PELL grants while they are still enrolled in high school.
Students may earn up to 12 credits if they are in the program for the maximum of two years.
All GRB PELL Experiment students will need to remain in good academic standing in order to continue in the program.
As part of the experience, students receive academic tutoring, financial aid counseling, career counseling and access to student success advocates.
The entire venture allows GRB students to become immersed into the college culture even before they walk across the high school graduation stage.
For more information about college-related opportunities at GRB and how students can prepare for their academic careers after they leave high school, visit the Counseling Office sub-section on G. Ray Bodley High School’s page on the FCSD website, www.fultoncsd.org.
