This Sunday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., the Clubhouse Tavern / Spencer’s Ali and the CAC invite community members to join them for a breakfast to benefit the CAC and its efforts to eliminate child abuse in Oswego County.

Sponsored by Robert and Liz McGrath, owners of the Clubhouse Tavern / Spencer’s Ali, the breakfast is open to the public.

The suggested minimum donation for the breakfast is $5 for adults with children 10 and under free.

All donations will benefit the CAC.

“This is the first breakfast that we hosted for the CAC and we are happy to do so,” said Robert McGrath. “What the CAC does to help children that have been sexually and physically abused and their families is so important. It’s wonderful to be able to support their efforts and help raise money for their programs.”

In addition to the breakfast, there will be a drawing for a chance to win a 10-foot Pelican Kayak courtesy of the Club House Tavern / Spencer’s Ali and currently on display inside Spencer’s Ali.

Tickets for the Pelican Kayak drawing are $1 each. There will also be a 50 / 50 drawing with all proceeds benefiting the CAC.

The winners of the kayak will be announced at the end of the breakfast, you need not be present to win.

A non-profit charitable organization, the CAC provided services to 497 children and their families in 2016.

In addition to helping families heal from the devastating trauma of physical or sexual child abuse the CAC also plays a major role in the investigation and prosecution of abuse cases.

Currently located at 301 Beech St. in Fulton the CAC also has a satellite office located at 4822 Salina St. in Pulaski.

To better meet the needs of children and families it serves the CAC will be moving to a much larger facility later this year.

“There is a great need for our services in Oswego County,” said CAC Executive Director Karrie Damm. “Much of what we do would not be possible without the support we receive from the community. We are thrilled that Sithe Energies is providing the grills and the Clubhouse Tavern / Spencer’s Ali are sponsoring the breakfast for us and I invite everyone to join us. It will be a great way to start your day before watching Oswego’s Independence Day Parade!”

For more information on the breakfast contact the CAC at 315-59CHILD (315-592-4453) or visit www.oswegocac.org.
