Buckets of Blessings: Ways to help Hurricanes Harvey Victims and ETC Relief Effort

MEXICO – Your donations to Buckets of Blessings may be dropped off at the Greater Mexico Chamber of Commerce Booth at the Family Fall Festival, Sept. 16.

In addition, the First Presbyterian Church, Mexico, is collecting Church World Service Hygiene Kits.

They can be dropped off at the Mexico Village Clerk’s office before Sept. 23. Or you may drop them off at the First Presbyterian Church on Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. – noon.

We are requesting that you assemble the kits exactly as listed by Church World Services.

Ruling Elders Susan Silliman Smith and Rita Hooper will be delivering these kits.

Please assemble the kits according to Church World Services which includes:

· One hand towel measuring approximately 15? x 28? to 16? x 32? (no fingertip, bath, dish towel or micro-fiber)

· One washcloth

· One wide-tooth comb removed from the package

· One fingernail or toenail clipper removed from the package

· One bath-size bar of soap in the wrapper

· One toothbrush in the package

· Ten standard size Band-Aids

All items need to fit inside a one-gallon plastic zipper closure bag.

Remove the excess air from the bag and seal.

Do not add any extra items or toothpaste. A tube of extended expiration date toothpaste will be added to each hygiene kit just prior to its final journey.

Value: $15.

Processing fee: $2 per kit. Please put in an envelope and tape it to the outside of the bag.
