Burritt Motors, Eagle Beverage Support United Way Day of Caring

FULTON – Burritt Motors and Eagle Beverage have come together to help promote United Way of Greater Oswego County’s annual Day of Caring, June 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A structured event, the Day of Caring provides participants with an opportunity to experience the rewarding feeling of accomplishment that volunteering offers.

Rich Burritt of Burritt Motors and Kevin Dorsey of Eagle Beverage are encouraging employees to volunteer to get Oswego County Opportunities’ Minetto Group Home ready for summer.

Their employees will join United Way staff and community volunteers in beautifying the yard and the home’s storage barn.

“We will be raking the lawn, weeding, planting flowers, and cleaning outside the house. Additionally we will be doing some repair to, and painting, the storage barn,” said United Way Resource Development Director Ali McGrath.

Materials for the clean-up and repair are being provided by Burritt Motors and Eagle Beverage.

Additionally, Burritt Motors will be serving up BBQ for the volunteers and Eagle Beverage will be providing water.

“We are pleased to have Rich, Kevin and their employees collaborate with us for our annual Day of Caring. It’s an opportunity for them to step away from their desks to provide hands-on volunteer labor and be part of a great day for a great cause,” added McGrath.
