WILLIAMSTOWN – This summer, AmeriCorps partnered with APW schools and Cornell University Cooperative Extension to create a summer camp program at Camp Zerbe.

Zerbe is located in the town of Williamstown.
The camp program begins at 8 a.m. and goes until noon every Monday through Friday.
Our first day of camp was July 6 and the program will continue through August 16.
The kids get to enjoy many typical summer camp activities such as field games, arts and crafts, nature hikes and learning about outdoor safety with various guest speakers.
The program also includes Thursday summer sing with one of APW schools music teachers.
The AmeriCorps members, Rianne Sprague and Tonya Felton, work daily to plan various theme days and to teach the kids about the importance of nutrition and fitness, which encourages healthy eating habits and promotes better overall physical fitness for the community.
