A group of motivated Cayuga Community College students are helping to bring last season’s prom dress fashions into the spotlight again. The Prom Dress Project, a charitable initiative founded by Cayuga’s Tutor Club last year, will offer donated, gently used prom dresses to high school girls for a discounted price, while raising money for a local charity.
The Tutor Club will hold its annual prom dress sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10 at Cayuga Community College, 806 W. Broadway St., Fulton. The more than 200 donated dresses range in price from free to $30.
The money from the sale will be donated to a local charity.
Last year, the club raised $2,000 for charity and outfitted 200 high schools with dresses for their prom.
