FULTON, NY – Students in the Beta Tao Iota chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on the Fulton campus of Cayuga Community College teamed up with the support of Fulton’s Tutor Club, Business Leadership Club, and the Veterans’ Club to raise funds and collect donated non-perishable food items to sponsor eight deserving families from within our own student body.

These families received a basket of food (turkey, potatoes, stuffing, rolls, fruit, vegetables, spaghetti, sauce, cereal, butter, eggs, pancake mix and syrup, snacks), a gingerbread house (for the families to complete together).
Also, each child will receive a small gift thanks in part to the tremendous collaboration of our Fulton campus community.
The gifts were wrapped by Fulton staff members – Lorelee Lardear, Sue Hough and Joyce Crandall.

Shauna Nesbitt from the Fulton Admissions Office, advisor to the Beta Tau Iota chapter of PTK coordinated this effort and purchased the supplies and gifts for the event.
The collaboration from campus clubs made this generous event possible and will surely brighten the holiday season for these eight deserving families.
Baskets were picked up December 16 on the Fulton campus.
