OSWEGO, NY – The students at the Charles E. Riley Elementary School competed for the opportunity to earn a position in this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee regional.

The top three finishers advancing to the regional competition are Megan Albright (sixth grade) in first place, Jarreau Hoskins (fifth grade) in second and fourth grader Jason Zhang.
The pronouncer for the event was speech-language pathologist Cathy Mears (left) while Molly Clark, CER library media specialist, was the coordinator and judge for the competition.
