A chicken dinner barbecue and benefit are planned from 1-6 p.m.on August 26 at the Fulton Elks Lodge in memory of Maurine “Moe” Caprin.
Maurine was a beloved member of the family who passed away suddenly on Friday, June 15, from a severe asthma attack.

Maurine was a lifelong Fulton resident and was a former employee of the Nestle Company. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, the Elks BPOE Lodge # 830, the VFW Post # 569 and she loved to play softball and bowl.
The benefit meal will include chicken, salt potatoes, macaroni salad and beans – the cost for the meal is $10. You can stay and eat or we will have it ready for carry-out. We will also be doing local deliveries for pre-orders.
In addition to the meal, the band ‘Last Stand’ will be playing all day in the pavilion; there will be a bake sale, raffles and 50-50’s.
All proceeds will go to the family to help defray the cost of funeral expenses and purchase a proper headstone. Anyone who would like to contribute an item for our raffle, or desserts for the bake sale, is encouraged to do so.
For more information; to make a donation or purchase tickets, please contact Paula Distin at 529-4887 at [email protected]
Thank you for supporting this local family!
