Becky Miller, RN, and Certified Child Passenger Technician, makes sure Baby Koda is riding as safely as possible.

Parents were invited to a free safety seat check held at Lowe’s, Oswego, on September 20.
Infants should ride rear-facing for as long as the limits of the seat will allow.

Child Passenger Safety Seat Checks are provided by a grant from the NYS Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
Trooper Eric Heath positions the harness straps on one-month-old Luke’s car seat to assure parents that their little one is as safe as can be when traveling.

Trooper Heath is nationally certified as a child passenger technician and hosts safety checks several times a year throughout Oswego County.
Currently there are certified technicians at NYSP, all barracks, Oswego City Police Department, SUNY Police Department at Oswego and Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the Oswego County Health Department and Oswego Hospital.
