OSWEGO – The Oswego Opera is seeking children of all ages to sing in the choir for the upcoming production of Brundibár, a children’s opera.
Brundibar is a moving, uplifting story about children overcoming adversity. It was written in the Terezin concentration camp by a Holocaust victim, Hans Krása. The opera will be performed on April 14th and 15th, 2018. The Oswego Community Youth Orchestra will perform.
Rehearsals will be in room 50 of Tyler Hall, SUNY Oswego, from 11 to 1230 on Saturdays, starting on January 20. Music rehearsals will be led by Dr. Mihoko Tsutsumi, choir director at SUNY Oswego. Staging rehearsals will be led by Lindsey Jones, of the Children’s Theater.
