OSWEGO COUNTY – The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi) recently celebrated the achievements of 14 adult learners who completed the practical nursing program.

The special graduation ceremony, which was held on the CiTi campus in Mexico, recognized the graduates’ dedication, perseverance and accomplishments. Families and friends joined the celebration, which included a traditional pinning ceremony symbolizing the completion of nursing school.

Practical Nursing Coordinator Christine Whitmore, RN BSN CEN, delivered a speech to the graduates, praising them for their commitment to the nursing profession. “You have studied tirelessly, practiced compassionately, and persevered through challenges that tested your strength and resolve,” Whitmore said. “Nursing is more than a profession; it is a calling. As you step into this next chapter remember to stay curious, stay humble, remember your why and above all, stay kind.”

Graduating students were Ryan Archer, Shannon Clew, Stephanie Cogan, Melinda Kline (Salutatorian and member of the National Technical Honor Society), Rachel LaTulip, Makayla Miller, Mary Schleicher (Valedictorian and member of the National Technical Honor Society), Stuart Tabolt, Caitlin Vedsted (member of the National Technical Honor Society) and Sarah Wells.

The next available practical nursing class will begin November 2026. For more information or to apply, visit CiTiboces.org/AdultOfferings[1].
