CiTi Student Welds Gym Equipment For Home District

SANDY CREEK – A student in the welding technology program at CiTi recently put his skills to the test to repair a piece of gym equipment for his home district.
Sandy Creek Central School District asked CiTi’s welding program if it could assist in repairing a leg press machine.
After agreeing to lend a helping hand, the program entrusted Sandy Creek student Ryan Wills to make the necessary welds to complete the project.
“This was an important weld Ryan had to make,” said instructor Barbie Jo Grey. “The machine had to withstand 2,000 pounds of force.”
