OSWEGO, NY – SUNY Oswego’s Holiday Toy Drive, now in its 27th year, continues to be a major factor in trying to ensure every kid in Oswego County has at least one toy to open during the holiday season.

Drive coordinator Casey Walpole (center), of the college’s Registrar’s Office, said members of the campus and community usually donate 500 to 600 gifts, plus around $400 to buy additional presents, which are distributed through the county’s Department of Social Services to local children in need.
Fellow SUNY Oswego employees Shirley McCarthy (left) and Caroline Currier also show some of the recently collected toys.
