FULTON, NY – CNY Arts Center announces their next juried art show “Color My World” July 10-12 at their River Glen Drive location on the Cayuga Community College Campus.
“We want to see the diverse colors that CNY artists use in their work. We will accept anything that is vibrant and full of colors. No black and white,” said Josh Taylor, event organizer. “We’re looking for art in categories that include anime, science fiction, cartoon, still life, animals (realistic or not), 3D anything – sculpture, ceramic, abstract – and places, landscape, cityscape, etc. The more colorful the better. Artwork must be ‘family friendly.’”
The event begins July 10 when entries that have been delivered to the center by July 2 will be set up between 4 and 6:30 p.m. with judging taking place at 8 p.m.
The show will be open to the public July 11 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and July 12 from noon to 4 p.m.
First and second place cash prizes will be awarded along with third place and honorable mention ribbons.
The public will be invited to choose their favorite and an additional cash prize will be awarded to best in show.
A reception for the artists will be held July 11, time TBA.
