Like every rite of summer, Crazy Race Days at Altmar Elementary School in the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District marks the end of the school year and the beginning of summer vacation.

Beautiful weather, friendly competition, and challenging fun events all come together for two crazy days of team participation.
Under glorious skies and lots of sunshine, the grade-level teams competed in “The Crazy Old Home Race Days” events including the Tire Roll Relay, the Ice Cream Cone Relay, Sack Race, Wooden Soup Spoon Race, Senator’s Frog Jump, Watermelon Roll and Water Bucket Relay.
A nostalgic look at Race Days from the past, some of the old fashioned favorites were brought back for this the final Altmar Elementary Crazy Race Days.
Each participant received a blue ribbon for participation, but the fun memories made during the many Crazy Race Days at Altmar Elementary School will last a long, long time.
In the fall of 2012, all elementary school students in the district will attend the combined Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School at the current APW Middle School location on County Route 22.
