Dessert Theater Returns With Final Installment Of The Tonys

FULTON – A year-long celebration of the Tony Awards comes to a close with CNY Arts Center’s Dessert Theater October 15 at 8 p.m.

In an evening of luscious desserts and entertainment the cast will perform Broadway songs from Tony Award winning musicals.

The Arts Center presents Act III of A Night at the Tony’s concluding a year of Tony-themed dessert-enriched entertainment including a live streaming of the 2016 Tony awards at the center, located at 11 River Glen Drive on the Cayuga Community College campus.

The Dessert Theatre series was designed to offer an evening out with fine entertainment and fancy desserts presenting a sampler of the classic musicals.

Conceived by CNY Arts Center’s Nick Pike and directed by newcomer Rae Noone with Gina Holsopple as music director, the Tony Award Winning musicals have created staples within the world of theatre with songs that endure.

They are often the memorable tunes that stay with theater goers long after the curtains close.

Dessert theatre also allows actors and musicians a rare chance to perform music they may not otherwise get to do as these musicals can be very expensive and hard to mount full-scale productions.

Dessert is included in admission price.
