OSWEGO, NY – “Waldo” was spotted at 25 Oswego businesses last month.

People were encouraged to locate the 3.5-inches tall character at more than two dozen Port City businesses and get their “Waldo Passport” stamped or signed for the chance to win prizes.
At Time and Again Books & Tea, there was a little square box on the round table in the tea room. Customers could see “Win This Shirt” behind the register, and after they found their Waldo figurine (provided by river’s end bookstore) hidden somewhere in the store, they got stamped as having been in that location.
Then, before they left, they could take a chance on winning the shirt or if the shirts were gone, a gift certificate.

One kid passed on the shirt making it available for someone else, noted Debbie Engelke, owner.
Other vendors held different projects.
River’s end, as the local sponsor of the event, provided an eight-volume set of Where’s Waldo books to one lucky winner.
There were four prize winners from Time & Again Books & Tea in the Where’s Waldo contest.
Several hundred adults and children had an energetic and fun-filled month returning to favorite shops in the area or stopping by for the first time.
Time & Again Books & Tea thanks river’s end for providing such an exciting opportunity to meet with new and returning customers!
