OSWEGO, NY – Chemistry professor Dr. Venera Jouraeva will talk about her research on trees and their effect on air quality and reduction of carcinogens in the environment at a meeting of Oswego Tree Stewards on May 15 at 7 p.m. at Oswego City Hall (third floor).
Dr. Jouraeva is an assistant professor of chemistry at Cazenovia College where she teaches chemistry and environmental science.

She has taught at SUNY Oswego, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and Capital University in Bexley, Ohio.
She has won awards from the American Chemistry Society for Outstanding Sustainability Activities and Excellence for Research in Environmental Chemistry and promoted student research projects which received numerous awards.
The Oswego Tree Stewards meet at Oswego City Hall at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
