OSWEGO, NY – Pranay Chapagain (right), a native of Nepal who is a graduate student in human-computer interaction at SUNY Oswego, joins freshman zoology major Alina Mangual (center) to speak recently about Nepal earthquake relief with sophomore business administration major Erin Arana in the college’s Marano Campus Center.
About 80 SUNY Oswego students and employees representing two dozen student organizations and college offices volunteered their time over eight days at the end of spring semester to collect $1,519.74 for the International Medical Corps relief agency.
“People stepped up,” said Michael Paestella, director of the Office of Student Involvement at SUNY Oswego. “It was a good effort.”
