OSWEGO – The holiday season is a time for sharing – and nowhere is this tradition more evident than with the employees at Exelon Generation’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station.

For the 12th year, Exelon employees, through their “Giving Tree” Program, collect and donate hundreds of Christmas gifts for the residents of St. Luke Health Services in Oswego. Employees selected a resident Christmas present wish from trees located at their facilities and then take the time and energy to set about fulfilling those wishes.
“Who doesn’t like receiving a special gift during the holiday season, and thanks to the ‘Giving Tree’ Program our residents experience that sense of joy,” said Greg Osetek, director of community relations. “This program continues to be an important part to our holiday celebrations here at St. Luke and our sincerest thanks to all the employees of Exelon Generation’s Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station who have been so generous to our residents year after year.”
Each of the 200 residents at St. Luke will find gifts under the Christmas tree just for them, and make the holiday celebrations at the healthcare facility all the more special.
“I continue to be amazed by the thoughtfulness and generosity shown towards our residents,” said Nicole Greenier, St. Luke volunteer coordinator. “Gifts collected and donated by Exelon employees as part of this program are both large and small, depending on the wishes of a particular resident. But regardless of the particular gift, this program demonstrates the best of what the holiday season represents in our community.”
