Fairgrieve Elementary School Students Earn Expectation Awards

Expectations are high at Fairgrieve Elementary School, and students are up to the task as they have been serving as role models in the building.
In conjunction with the Fulton City School District’s implementation of the Positive Behavior, Interventions and Supports initiative, Fairgrieve holds monthly award assemblies to recognize students whose actions exemplify positive character traits.
One student from each class is selected as an “expectation expert.”
For their efforts, students receive a commemorative pencil and a certificate of recognition.
The Expectation Award winners for the month of January were honored during Morning Express on Feb. 4.
Recipients included Annie Quirk, Dakota Pickard and Dahni Perry (kindergarten); Jai Seymour, Donald Belson and Grace Benedict (first grade); Hayden Lockwood, Corbin Cross, James Sandler and Dawson Reed (second grade); Brady Niver, Ciara Dillingham and Ciearra Harris (third grade); Jonathan Smiley, Jocelyn Loomis, James Fortino and Dykel Ruscitto (fourth grade); Jessica Herlowski, David Maglione and Ian Blaine (fifth grade); and Lauren Goss, Bryce Carroll and Olivia Hawthorne (sixth grade).
“These are students who are respectful, responsible, safe and problem solvers each and every day,” Principal Jean Ciesla said. “These expectation experts are certainly role models in our school.”
