OSWEGO COUNTY – Fairley Elementary School recently welcomed students and families for an engaging evening featuring two simultaneous events designed to promote early learning and a love of reading.

The first event, “Look at Me, I’m 3,” was an early learning initiative held in partnership with CiTi BOCES and its Community Schools program. The program invited 3-year-olds and their families to the school library, where they enjoyed hands-on activities including building with blocks, interactive play, and opportunities to explore early learning resources in a fun, supportive environment.
At the same time, the “Great Reading Adventure,” open to all Fairley families, was held in the first-grade wing of the building. Participants rotated through a variety of classrooms featuring crafts and activities inspired by popular books and authors. One highlight included themed activities centered around the works of Dr. Seuss, bringing classic stories to life through creativity and play.
Both events emphasized the importance of family engagement in education while fostering foundational skills in literacy and early childhood development.
