HANNIBAL – In honor of Veterans’ Day, Fairley Elementary School recently invited local active duty and retired servicemen and women for an assembly punctuated by patriotic songs and tributes.

The assembly provided students with an opportunity to learn about Veterans’ Day and pay tribute to those who have served in the armed forces.
Students invited local veterans to the ceremony and presented each one with a flower, donated by Hannibal Home and School.
Following the presentation of flowers, Fairley students sang songs and high school student Theresa Przepiora played “Taps” as the ceremony drew to a close.
