Fifth graders from across the Central Square School District came together for the first time for what is known as the “5th Grade Extravaganza!” held at the Paul V. Moore High School stadium.

The day was filled with stations that groups of students rotate through, including a dunking station, tug-o-war, field games, a bounce house and more. Snow cones were provided as refreshments for the hot and humid afternoon.
Students from each of the elementary schools wore a specific color T-shirt to indicate the school they came from. The fun-filled day is a great way for the students to get acquainted with one another, shedding their elementary persona and becoming a larger secondary group for the remainder of their school career.
The students will see each other again this fall as the next sixth grade middle school class.
