FULTON – The Fulton Sunrise Rotary enjoyed a visit from Joe Langlois during a recent club Zoom meeting.
He joined the meeting from New Hartford where he currently resides. In 1999, Langlois was part of a community minded group of people who established the Fulton Sunrise Rotary because there was a need for a morning group to expand the Rotary membership opportunities in Fulton. Fulton Sunrise Rotary was chartered on January 12, 1999. Langlois served as its first president.
There are still three charter members in the club: LaVerne DeLand, Ed Garrow, and Doug Stevens. Joe Langlois continues as an honorary member. While charter members enjoyed the opportunity to reminisce, newer members had the opportunity to hear stories about the origin of the club and its activities in the early days.
Fulton Sunrise Rotary currently meets on Fridays at 8 a.m. via Zoom. If interested in information about Fulton Sunrise Rotary, contact Peg Donnelly at (315) 593-3746.
