MEXICO – Who really does have the most delicious meatballs in Oswego County? Come join us at the Mexico VFW, Route 3, on March 19 to find out and to also support our local “Blessings in a Backpack” program.
We plan to start serving dinners at 4 p.m. and continue serving until 7 p.m.
At 5 p.m., our hand-selected judges will begin taste testing meatballs from these 6 locations who have graciously donated them to the cause: Daddy Ed’s, The Bake Shop Eatery, The Eis House, Bosco and Geer’s Market, Canale’s and Paul’s Big M.
Several free gift certificate drawings will also take place during the dinner thanks to Vona’s Restaurant, Paulanjo’s Pizza, The Bake Shop Eatery, and Stefano’s Pizzeria.
You need not be there when the drawing takes place to win.
Dinners will include: spaghetti and meatballs, tossed salad, Italian bread (from the Bake Shop Eatery) and dessert. Take-outs will be available.
For your listening pleasure, the Snowbelter’s Barbershop Chorus will be providing musical entertainment during parts of the event.
Advance sale tickets may be purchased by contacting Carla Stelmach at 315-416-6116; adults $8 and children 12 and under $5.
Prices at the door will be as follows: adults: $10 and children 12 and under $6.
All proceeds from this event will go toward feeding elementary school age children in the Blessings in a Backpack program in the Mexico school district.
Thank you in advance from the United Baptist Church of Scriba for supporting our first March Meatball Madness Spaghetti Dinner.
We hope to see you there.
