Fitzhugh Park Elementary Spellers Advance to Regional

OSWEGO, NY – The students at the Fitzhugh Park Elementary School competed for the opportunity to earn a position in this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee regional.
The top three finishers advancing to the regional competition are (left to right) fifth grader Cassidy Proud (third), fourth grader Iris McDonnell (first) and sixth grader Gracelyn O’Connor (second).
Conducting the qualifying round at FPS were Leane Humphreys, Jamie Brancato, Serena Waldron, FPS Principal Donna Simmons and Erin Wilder.
