Fulton Music Teachers Offer Summer Music Program

FULTON – The Fulton City School District’s music department will offer “Fulton Fortissimo,” a summer music enrichment program for students entering grades five through 12.

Camps will be held from 8 a.m. to noon July 10 to July 14 at G. Ray Bodley High School. Ensembles include: intermediate/advanced band, intermediate/advanced orchestra, beginner band, beginner orchestra, percussion ensemble and small ensemble groups are to-be-decided.

Fulton Fortissimo will involve large ensemble rehearsals, instrument sectional rehearsals with specialized coaches, musical games and more. A culmination event will be a public concert on July 14.

The cost will be $75 per student.

Musical adventures for Fulton students, however, will continue with Fulton Fortissimo summer music lessons from July 10 to Aug. 21 at GRB.

The cost will be $75 per student, or $60, if he or she will also participate in one of the camp programs.

A total of five private, 30-minute instrumental lessons are included and will be led by Claire Wilcox for Orchestra, or Carrie Foster, Stephanie Mata, Christine Sicurella and Robbie Padilla for band.

Once a student is assigned to a music instructor, the instructor will contact the student/his or her parent to finalize weekly sessions.
