Fulton Rotarians Hear About New Voting Machines

by Contributor | October 11, 2010 11:00 am

Dick Atkins, Democratic Commissioner of Elections, right, gave an interesting and timely presentation about the new voting machine, the Optical Scan Voting System. State mandated under ERMA (Election Reform & Modernization Act) these new machines are easy to use , have a paper trail and are ADA compliant. Most of the lever machines were old and antiquated with parts not readily available. Oswego County has worked very hard to provide voters the right, state-of-the-art, secure voting system to ensure votes are accurately counted. Pictured with Atkins is Rotarian Dan Farfaglia. The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.
