Fulton Savings Bank ‘Giving Thanks’ for OCO

FULTON, NY – Healthy sleep supports a healthy body, an alert mind ready to learn at school and reduces risks for obesity.

Unfortunately for many children in Oswego County getting a good night’s sleep is only a dream.

To make that dream come true Oswego County Opportunities has launched “Sleep Tight,” a proactive initiative to stop the spread of insect pests like bed bugs, a problem that is now spreading across Central New York.

On November 1, OCO will host “Giving Thanks,” an evening of food and fun in support of “Sleep Tight.”

To be held at the Lake Ontario Convention Center in Oswego, the event will feature an assortment of Thanksgiving inspired food and refreshments including favorites from Canale’s Restaurant, Mill House Market, La Parrilla, Blue Moon Grill, The Press Box, Mimi’s Drive-In, The Eis House, Ontario Orchards, CiTi Culinary Arts, Appledale Orchards, Colosse Cheese and OCO Nutrition Services.

Wine and beer samples from Eagle Beverage will pair with the foods featured at each station.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by world renowned guitarist, singer / songwriter Loren Barrigar.

“This event would not be possible if not for the support we receive from our community partners,” said Development Coordinator Margaret Barclay. “I’m happy to welcome Fulton Savings Bank as a Silver Level sponsor for ‘Giving Thanks.’”

Proceeds from OCO’s “Giving Thanks” will be used to purchase equipment for sanitizing and extermination, buy and maintain bedding supplies that are protected from infestation, and provide funds for staff and client education.

Tickets to OCO’s “Giving Thanks” celebration are $30 per person and include food, refreshments, and beer tastings.
