FULTON – Sue Traub of the non-profit group Blessings In A Backpack shared changes coming to the organization at a recent meeting of the Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club. The group provides backpacks of food weekly to 284 children in the Fulton City School District. Traub and her husband are retiring as leaders of the organization and are being succeeded by Sunrise Rotarians Cindy Jerred and Doug Stevens. They are also looking for volunteers for public relations, record-keeping, fundraising and as steering committee members. Sunrise Rotarians made a donation to Blessings In A Backpack and continue to work one Saturday per month to make up the backpacks. From left, Sunrise Rotary Club President Marianne Ingerson, Traub and Jerred celebrate the donation.
Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 a.m. at Mimi’s Drive-In and can be followed at https://www.facebook.com/fultonsunriserotaryclub/[1].
