FULTON – The Fulton Noon Rotary recently listened to a presentation from Jeff Schremp, President of the Fulton Youth Hockey Association (FYHA). FYHA is an all-volunteer organization. Being an all-volunteer group helps keep the registration fees lower than most hockey organizations in the area. Teams play a 30-40 game schedule each year. They play in the Snowbelt Hockey League.
The City of Fulton owns the building where the ice rink is held but the FYHA pays for all the maintenance, utilities and improvements to the rink. About 25% of the operating costs comes from the registration fees with the rest coming from fundraising, snack bar, open skate night and ice rentals.
Fulton Noon Rotary meets at 12:00 noon on the first three Thursdays of the month at the Tavern on the Lock in Fulton.
