Fundraiser Planned To Fight Juvenile Diabetes

OSWEGO, NY – A fundraiser night at Fajita Grill is planned for Sept. 18 from 5 – 9 p.m. to help out local children working to help find a cure to Type 1 Diabetes.

Jake Hauser, Claudia and Jake Chetney are gearing up for the “Walk for a Cure” to benefit the CNY Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The walk takes place on Sept. 22 at Long Branch Park in Liverpool.

Team “Jakers Shakers” lead by Hauser and the Chetney siblings consists of family and friends all walking in support of finding a cure to the lifelong disease.

Hauser and Claudia Chetney are seventh graders at OMS and Jake Chetney is a fifth grader at Kingsford Park School.

The kids invite the community to have a meal at Fajita Grill Tuesday night with 10% of total sales going to their team efforts.
