FULTON – G & C Foods has signed on as a presenting sponsor for OCO’s upcoming Giving Thanks celebration.
Headquartered in Syracuse, G & C Foods delivers over 4,000 refrigerated, frozen and dry food items to customers from Maine to Florida.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this year’s Giving Thanks, “Today, Tomorrow, Always” is going virtual! On Friday, November 6th Giving Thanks will be streaming from 5 to 6 p.m. on the OCO Events Facebook page.
“We are proud to count such a caring and community-minded company as G & C Foods among our supporters,” said Cooper-Currier. “As a Community Action agency that exists solely to protect and care for people, we are at this moment doing all we can to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the health and well-being of our consumers and employees. Our Giving Thanks celebration is a way for us to show our appreciation to those that support OCO’s mission and have made it possible for us to offer our more than 50 human services programs, uninterrupted, throughout the pandemic. By making our Giving Thanks celebration a virtual event we are able to carry on that tradition.”
Hosted by 93Q Radio Personality Amy Robbins OCO’ Giving Thanks “Today, Tomorrow, Always” celebration will virtually recreate the excitement of past celebrations including performances from singer/songwriter John McConnell.
“A number of local restaurants and eateries will be joining us the event,” said OCO Development Coordinator Bridget Dolbear. “Viewers will discover house favorites from Blue Moon Grill, Canale’s Restaurant, GS Steamers Bar & Grill, Oompa Loompyas, The Eis House Lodge, and others. And since no meal is complete without the proper beverage, representatives from Eagle Beverage will offer suggestions on beverages to complement each dish.”
The Giving Thanks Art Auction, which debuted last year, also returns as a virtual event. Artwork donated by local artisans is currently up for bid online at www.32auctions.com/OCOgivingthanks2020.
Photos of each item available for bid are listed on the site as well as information about the artist and instructions on how to place a bid. The auction will continue throughout the event with bidding ending at 9:00 p.m. on November 6th. Proceeds from the auction will benefit OCO’s COVID Relief Fund.
