G. Ray Bodley recognizes special VIPs

Earning the honor of VIP at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton students were treated to a special ice cream sundae celebration.

G. Ray Bodley High School students Amanda Shatrau, left, and Kari Holbrook are two of the students who met the “Very Impressive Person” or VIP criteria and were honored at a recent ice cream sundae. The students’ names were draw to receive iTunes gift cards during the celebration. The special VIP recognition marked the end of the second quarter of the 2012-13 school year and recognized students for their outstanding attendance rate of at least 95% while also celebrating their commitment to academics as well as promoting a positive school environment. Each of the students invited to the recognition while in addition to exemplary attendance also had no grade point average lower than 75 and no major behavioral referrals.

VIPs are Very Impressive Persons selected for exemplary attendance, commitment to academics and role model behavior and are recognized quarterly with a breakfast celebration.

Students in grades nine through twelve at the school met the criteria and were honored at the recent second quarter ice cream sundae celebration.

To earn VIP recognition students must have an attendance rate of at least 95%, have grade point averages of more than 75 and have no major behavioral referrals.
