Students of G. Ray Bodley’s H.O.P.E. Club are giving back to their community this holiday season.

On a Saturday in early December, members of the club volunteered to be bell ringers for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.
Students signed up for two hours at a time and collected monetary donations inside the doors of Fulton’s Price Chopper.
The H.O.P.E. Club also sponsored a two-week Hat and Mitten Drive at G. Ray Bodley.
The guided study hall with the most items were treated to a breakfast celebration brought in by H.O.P.E. Club Advisor Cathy Cronk.

Gracia Thompson’s class won with nearly 30 winter weather garments.
A total of 300 hats and mittens were collected in the building.
The items were donated to school nurses in the district.
