PULASKI – Students at the Make Sense Shop in Pulaski put on a Thanksgiving Celebration Dinner for their teachers on November 19.

The students and workers at the Make Sense Shop felt a sense of overwhelming support as teachers and visitors filled and packed every table available in the house.
The meal featured traditional Thanksgiving foods such as turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy and, of course, pie.
The Make Sense Shop is a learning center operated by the Pulaski Academy and Central Schools, in cooperation with the Camden Central, Sandy Creek Central and APW Central School districts.
“Sense” stands for successful education needs student employment.
The shop, located in the business district of the village of Pulaski, offers a life skills job-training program for students.

It features a small café and a gift shop.
The students learn cooking and serving skills in the restaurant, aspects of running a business such as inventory and balancing the cash register, as well as making items for the gift shop and cleaning up at the end of the day.
The store is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
