OSWEGO, NY – Oswego went to the cats and dogs recently.
Both the Oswego County SPCA (also known as the Oswego County Animal Welfare League) and the Oswego County Humane Society had their annual holiday events.

The Humane Society event featured pet adoption opportunities, with many foster homes bringing their charges to meet the public in the hope of finding a forever home.
There were holiday craft vendors with items which both highlighted pet ownership, as well as chances to purchase items to gift next month.
The YMCA Armory was alive with activity from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
From noon to 5 p.m., the SPCA featured home cooked food items such as macaroni and cheese, hot tomato sauces over meatballs and in seasonal chilis, as well as baked goods to eat at the event or later at home.
There was a silent auction which ended at 3:30 p.m. and door prizes throughout the afternoon.
The event, held at the VFW on Bridge Street, was attended by supporters from throughout the county to take advantage of the opportunity to win the high bid on donations from community businesses.
