HANNIBAL – The Hannibal Historical Society will meet on Monday, December 4, at 7 p.m. at the Hannibal Community Center on Oswego Street.

Lowell Newvine, Hannibal Town and Village Historian and Hannibal Historical Society Historian, will present a program detailing the life of Amos W. Farnham.
Farnham was born in 1842.
After the Civil War, he became an educator in the South and was instrumental in starting schools for black children.
He eventually returned to Oswego where he was a professor at the Oswego Normal School.
