Hannibal Living History Museum Slated August 7

HANNIBAL – Hannibal Central School District will host a summer institute for incoming freshmen that allows students to work on skills and will minimize the learning gap between the eighth and ninth grade.
The institute is designed to be hands-on and engaging, while covering all of the core subjects.
A part of the program involves students exploring what life was like during different periods of history in Hannibal and neighboring areas.
Guest speakers from local historical societies will be visiting the school, and the students will have the opportunity to interview an elder one-on-one.
Members of the community are invited to attend the culmination of the summer institute, which includes a living history museum.
The event will take place August 7, from 9:30 to 11 a.m in the district board room, 928 Cayuga St, Hannibal.
