Hastings-Mallory Elementary (HME) School hosted a successful open house on May 18, complete with student artwork and academic projects.

Principal Lawrence Wink greeted parents and students with a warm welcome as they entered the school.
The hallways were filled with student artwork, and students had the opportunity to show their parents the projects there were working on in class.
The fourth grade recently explored texture by using only white paper, scissors and glue. Each student made their own project, and then the classes hung them together to make one giant texture sculpture.
HME kindergarteners also drew “In Kindergarten I learned” pictures for the event.
