HANNIBAL – Preparations are under way in the Hannibal Central School District for an annual tradition promoting healthy habits and positive choices.
The fifth annual Healthy Family Night will be held from 5-7 p.m. March 22 at Fairley Elementary School and will feature a variety of activities for community members.
Dozens of local agencies and organizations will be on hand to offer giveaways, educational materials and other supports to attendees.
“Families who have not attended before can expect to find a night full of fun, family-friendly activities that promote a healthy mind and body,” said Brittany Meier, Fairley school psychologist and event spokeswoman. “We will be focusing on bringing in more interactive activities, including yoga, a fitness boot camp, a crafts and art activity with the school art teacher, and more.”
Nearly 25 agencies and service groups have committed to this year’s Healthy Family Night.
Several local businesses and community members have also donated prizes that will be given away during the event.
