Home and School Expands Minetto Playground

MINETTO – The Minetto Elementary School playground has some new apparatus including a climbing wall, a stand up teeter totter and a xylofun panel.
The donation came from the Minetto Home and School Association which raised nearly $8,000 to complete the project.
Raby’s Ace Home Center donated 23 bags of concrete to assist while parent volunteers and district building and grounds personnel assisted in construction.
Gathering together as the students commenced use of the wall are Heidi Samson and Sharon Griffin of Minetto Home and School, Coordinator Sam Sugar and Principal Dean Goewey.
On the wall are Morgan Samson, Allison Griffin, Chase Wegzyn and Keegan Thompson.
Money for the project was raised through the walkathons and box top campaign.
