OSWEGO COUNTY – Oswego Music Hall has The Hook Songwriter Series, with John McConnell and Cam Caruso coordinating on Friday, March 3. Dave Wolever, Ben Wayne and Bryan Dickenson will share the stage beginning at 7:30 p.m.; doors opening at 7:00 p.m.

Three songwriters. One stage. One love.
Once upon a time, Dave Wolever borrowed his older sister’s electric guitar to “check it out”… he never gave it back. Inspired by bands such as Kiss, AC/DC and Queen, among others, he quickly developed a strong desire to play guitar and perform live. Within a few years, Wolever began performing with various local bands and shortly thereafter, started composing his own songs. He has won Oswego’s Harborfest Songwriting Contest on five separate occasions.
Wolever has performed and recorded as a member of many regional acts over the years including: Stinger, Clyde Barrow Band, Ten Penny and Doctor Boogie to name a few. Wolever is currently a member of the powerhouse rock ensemble, Off The Reservation and he also performs regularly as a one-man-band. His solo show is delivered with power and presence and draws from his many musical influences. For more information visit: davewolever.com[1].
Ben Wayne combines the best of all worlds: reggae rhythms, southern rock, soul, pop hooks, SoCal swag and piles of attitude. He doesn’t break a sweat, but he does break strings delivering choice covers and soulful originals that connect with audiences every time. Wayne performs solo and as a duo with Jess Novak (Safe Word). He released “Expletive Repeated” in October of 2019 and “Rise” with Jess Novak in November of 2019. His follow-up album, “spectator” was released in August of 2022 and features a solid mix of full-band rockers and singer/songwriter acoustic songs. For more information visit: benwaynemusic.com[2].
Bryan Dickenson is a CNY singer/songwriter with 50 years of professional performance and an extensive catalogue of original music. He writes story songs about life, in many different genres. He presently resides in Syracuse, NY. For more information find Bryan on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Bryan.Dickenson.music/[3].
