‘Hotcakes For Hospice’ Returns Oct. 20, Features Oswego State Lakers Men’s Hockey Team

Members of the SUNY Oswego Lakers Hockey Team prepare the buffet line for a past Hotcakes for Hospice event to benefit the Friends of Hospice in Oswego County (FOHOC). The event is Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to Noon,  Oct. 20, at the Oswego Elks Lodge, 132 W. Fifth St. Tickets are available at the door. Tickets are $12, and children under 5 are free, said Elena Twiss, executive director for FOHOC.

OSWEGO –   The Hotcakes for Hospice breakfast buffet featuring the SUNY Oswego Laker Men’s Hockey Team with Coach Ed Gosek as servers, returns Sunday, Oct. 20 , it was announced by Elena Twiss, Friends of Hospice in Oswego County (FOHOC) executive director.

            The event starts at 8:00 a.m. and tickets will be sold until 11:00 with breakfast served through Noon at the Oswego Elks lodge, 132 W. Fifth St. “Diners will have the opportunity to enter prize drawings‚—including a Lottery board—while they enjoy a  delicious breakfast with the Lakers,” Twiss said. “All proceeds will benefit our programs and the patients we serve.”

            Tickets are available at the door. Tickets are $12 and children under 5 are free, Twiss said.

Friends of Hospice in Oswego County is a volunteer organization that provides financial and non-medical support to individuals, caregivers, friends and families during the end-of-life journey and supports them following their loss.
