FULTON, NY – Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Emergency Services received a welcome donation from the United Steel Workers Local 54 employees at Huhtamaki that will help bring joy to many families this holiday season.

The union members provided Catholic Charities with dozens of toys that the agency will be distribute to children in need through its Adopt A Family program.
Helen Hoefer, director of Community Services at Catholic Charities, was pleased to accept the donation. “The donations we receive from caring organizations such as the United Steel Workers Local 54 are very much appreciated. Their support makes it possible for us to continue to offer our services and make Christmas a little more enjoyable for children and their families who are in need in our community.”
Catholic Charities of Oswego County serves all people in need regardless of their religious affiliation. Primary funding sources for Catholic Charities of Oswego County programs are the United Way of Greater Oswego County, the Diocesan Hope Appeal, the County of Oswego and private donations by individuals and local companies and organizations.
