The Fulton City School District recognizes that good attendance habits including arriving on time and prepared are critical to school success and also set the foundation for future success in college or a career.

For this reason the “It’s Cool 2B in School” attendance campaign is in its second year in the district and at G. Ray Bodley (GRB) High School.

As part of the attendance initiative GRB students sign a pledge at the start of the school to demonstrate their commitment to school.

The names of all of the students that signed the pledge and maintained an attendance rate of 90% or more during the first quarter of the school year were entered to win a prize.

Ninth grade student Shawna Cooper was the GRB first quarter “It’s Cool 2B in School” prize winner.

She was recognized for her committed to school with a $50 Walmart gift card and a sweatshirt.
