OSWEGO, NY – Julie Billings, a vice president of Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways Council, told the Oswego Sunrise Rotary Club about recent changes in the Girl Scouts.

Recently, 26 Girl Scout councils in New York and Pennsylvania were merged to form NYPENN Pathways Council.
The new organization serves more than 22,000 girls in 26 counties in New York and Pennsylvania.
The Girl Scouts are preparing to celebrate their 100th anniversary.
When you think of Girl Scouts you think about cookies, crafts and camp, but today girls are given much more.
The new goal is to develop girls’ leadership potential through activities that enable them to discover their values, skills, and the world around them.
